SOUTH CAROLINA — Police in Union are searching for a suspect considered armed and dangerous following a fatal shooting Friday evening.
Officers were called to West Henrietta Street around 7:30 p.m. for a report of a gunshot.
When they arrived, they found a man lying in a field near South Pinckney Street suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Following interviews with witnesses and a review of surveillance video, investigators identified the suspect as Charles Mark Young. As of Saturday, Young remains at large.
Authorities are urging the public not to approach Young if seen. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
