PENNSYLVANIA — Authorities are searching for a man accused of shooting another man with a rifle Sunday evening in New Castle.
According to the New Castle Police Department, 29-year-old Alexander Minnich is wanted in connection with the shooting, which occurred along Butler Avenue.
The victim was taken to a hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, for treatment.
After the shooting, officers surrounded a home where they believed Minnich might be hiding.
The Lawrence County Critical Incident Response Team was called in to assist, and officers entered the residence, but Minnich was not found.
Police say Minnich will face charges including attempted homicide and is considered armed and dangerous.
