PENNSYLVANIA — Police have identified a suspect in a shooting that took place last Friday in the Homewood North neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
A man, whose name has not been released, was shot inside a home along North Murtland Street and taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to a criminal complaint, a woman told police that 38-year-old Jonque Pettiford had been staying with her for several days.
She said an argument with Pettiford escalated when he allegedly tried to shoot her. She told officers she ducked, and her friend attempted to intervene. That’s when police say Pettiford shot the friend twice.
Pettiford is now facing multiple charges, including criminal attempted homicide and aggravated assault. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
The investigation is ongoing.
