NORTH CAROLINA — Police are searching for a suspect in connection with a shooting that injured nine people earlier this month in Asheville.
The Asheville Police Department said 19-year-old Calobe Leo Workman has been charged in connection with the March 8 shooting on North Lexington Street.
Authorities said Workman is charged with discharging a firearm from an enclosure to incite fear.
Police described Workman as a 6-foot-3 Black male with black hair and brown eyes. Officials warned that he is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who sees Workman is urged not to approach him and instead call 911. Anyone with information about his whereabouts can contact the Asheville Police Department at 828-252-1110.
