
NORTH CAROLINA — Laurinburg police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a shooting that injured a local resident on Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded around 2:50 p.m. to the 300 block of Pitt Street, where they found 34-year-old Cedric Henderson of Laurinburg suffering from gunshot wounds. Henderson was taken to Scotland Memorial Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
Police have identified the suspect as 26-year-old Ezekiel Tyrese McLean of Maxton. McLean is wanted on charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Authorities say McLean should be considered armed and dangerous and may be in the Laurinburg or Maxton areas. Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach and to call 911 immediately.
