SOUTH CAROLINA — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 40-year-old man wanted in connection with a double shooting earlier this month.
The Hampton County Sheriff’s Office said Jerome Warren is considered armed and dangerous and is wanted for murder, assault/attempted murder, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
The shooting occurred on November 2 on Altman Road near the Whippy Swamp area.
A cash reward is being offered for information leading to Warren’s capture.
“Our investigators are working around the clock to locate Jerome Warren and bring him into custody,” Sheriff Anthony Russell said. “Within just 12 hours, our investigative team developed critical leads, gathered evidence, and obtained an arrest warrant for this suspect. We remain fully committed to protecting our community, and we will not rest until those responsible for violent crimes are held accountable.”
Sheriff Russell urged residents not to approach Warren or hide him, noting anyone who harbors him could face criminal charges.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office at (803) 914-2200.
