Police searching for wanted fugitive in Ohio

OHIO — The Cincinnati Police Department is actively searching for 26-year-old James Johnson, who is wanted on multiple charges including felony failure to comply with a police officer, felony probation violation, and misdemeanor falsification.

According to Greater Cincinnati Crime Stoppers, the charges stem from an incident on June 16, 2025, when Johnson allegedly provided false information to officers during a traffic stop and then fled the scene.

Johnson has a prior criminal history, including charges of obstructing official business.

He is described as a Black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 187 pounds. His last known address was on Warwick Avenue in the Avondale neighborhood of Cincinnati.

Authorities urge anyone with information on Johnson’s whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers. Tips can be submitted anonymously and may be eligible for a reward.
