OHIO — The Dayton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who is reportedly a frequent shoplifter at Gem City Market and recently escalated her actions by threatening an employee with a knife.
According to Miami Valley Crime Stoppers, the woman has repeatedly stolen from the store and became violent when confronted during one of the incidents.
Authorities say she pulled a knife on an employee during the encounter.
The suspect is described as a Black female, but her name and other identifying details remain unknown at this time.
Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact Miami Valley Crime Stoppers. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward if their information leads to an arrest.
