Police searching for wanted fugitive in Georgia

GEORGIA — Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating Wendell H. Purvis Jr., a 54-year-old man from Houston County who is currently wanted by law enforcement.

Purvis is wanted on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court.

He also faces charges related to possession of methamphetamine.

Purvis is described as a white male, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 230 pounds.

Anyone with information about Purvis’ whereabouts is encouraged to contact Macon Regional Crime Stoppers.
