PENNSYLVANIA — State police have issued an arrest warrant for a man suspected of participating in an armed home invasion early Saturday morning near the New York state line.

David Branning, 40, of Hallstead, is wanted on multiple charges, including robbery, burglary, theft, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, and false imprisonment, according to court records.

Investigators with the Pennsylvania State Police at Gibson said Branning and another unidentified man, armed with a gun and a crowbar, forced their way into an apartment on Grand Street in Susquehanna Depot just before 4 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the suspects confronted the residents—a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman—demanding money and valuables. A 1-year-old girl was also present in the apartment at the time of the incident.

One of the suspects allegedly used a crowbar to hold the male victim by the throat.

Authorities have not confirmed whether anything was stolen during the home invasion.

Investigators later tracked the suspects to Branning’s residence in Hallstead, where they recovered clothing that matched descriptions provided by the victims.

As of Wednesday, Branning remains at large, and state police are working to identify the second suspect. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Gibson barracks at (570) 465-3154.
