Police searching for two missing people in Alabama

ALABAMA — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating two missing 17-year-old girls.

Deputies said Briauna Welch and Cheyenne Strickland were last seen in Vina on September 6.

It is unclear what the teens were wearing or which direction they may have been traveling. Authorities believe they could possibly be in the Russellville area or in Colbert County.

Both Welch and Strickland are about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weigh around 120 pounds. Welch has gray eyes and blonde hair, while Strickland has brown eyes and red hair.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
