
GEORGIA — Two inmates are on the run after escaping from the Sumter County Jail Sunday night, according to local authorities.
Officials said Rickey Martin and Kentravious Holmes escaped from the jail at approximately 9:30 p.m. Both men were being held on multiple charges, including aggravated assault, aggravated battery and murder.
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office released descriptions of the two escapees. Martin is described as a 20-year-old Black male, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds, with untwisted dreadlocks.
Holmes is described as a 21-year-old Black male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 155 pounds. He also has untwisted dreadlocks and tattoos on his face and neck.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Martin or Holmes to call 911 or contact the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office at (229) 924-4094.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials said additional details will be released as they become available.
