
GEORGIA — Two inmates escaped from the Colquitt County Jail on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 16, prompting a search by local law enforcement and a warning to the public.
The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office identified the escaped inmates as Karon Caldwell, 30, and Alan Kennedy, 39. Authorities did not release details about the charges that led to their incarceration.
Sheriff’s officials said there is no indication that Caldwell and Kennedy remain near the jail. The public is being asked to stay alert as deputies continue efforts to locate the two men.
The sheriff’s office warned residents not to approach the individuals if they are seen, noting they may be dangerous. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately or contact the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office at 229-616-7430.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrests of Caldwell and Kennedy.
