OHIO — Police are continuing to search for a man accused of leading officers on a chase in a stolen U-Haul box truck through Montgomery County on Tuesday.
The pursuit began when the driver refused to pull over near State Route 741 and Dorothy Lane.
Officers deployed a GPS tracking device on the truck and called off the chase, later locating the vehicle on Troy Street in Dayton.
The chase resumed and ended when the truck hit stop sticks and crashed on Interstate 75 just before the State Route 725 exit.
According to Riverside Police, the vehicle was reported stolen from the U-Haul location on Harshman Road.
After the crash, all three individuals inside the truck fled into the woods. Two were caught, but the driver remains at large.
Police have issued a warrant for the driver’s arrest and released photos of the suspect on social media. The investigation is ongoing.
