
TENNESSEE — Metro Nashville police are searching for a man accused of violently attacking a 66-year-old man inside his home earlier this month.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, 25-year-old Michael Casey Jr. is wanted in connection with the March 11 assault.
Investigators said the victim was watching television in the garage of his home on Pennington Bend Road when an intruder grabbed him from behind.
Police said Casey “violently attacked” the man “for no apparent reason causing serious injury.” Authorities reported the suspect forced his fingers down the victim’s throat during the assault.
The victim was able to fight off the attacker but later lost consciousness, according to police.
Officials said Casey did not make any demands during the incident.
Warrants have been issued for Casey on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated burglary.
