SOUTH CAROLINA — Authorities are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery at a Dollar General store in Anderson County on Monday morning.
According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, the robbery occurred at the store located along Highway 76. Deputies responded to the scene and quickly established a perimeter in an effort to locate the suspect.
Law enforcement officials deployed K-9 units and a drone team as part of the search. As of late Monday morning, the suspect had not been taken into custody.
Investigators said they have identified a person of interest in connection with the robbery, but no additional details about that individual have been released.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
