
OHIO — Police are searching for the driver of a reportedly stolen vehicle who led officers on a chase through Toledo and Sylvania before fleeing into Michigan on Sunday night.
According to Toledo police, officers spotted a white Kia around 9:10 p.m. near the intersection of Secor and Bancroft streets. Police said the license plate matched a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop and fled, prompting a pursuit.
The driver left Toledo and entered Sylvania, where Sylvania police joined the chase. Authorities briefly ended the pursuit before resuming it when the vehicle returned to Toledo.
Police again pursued the vehicle but eventually called off the chase when the driver crossed into Monroe County, Michigan.
The driver remains unidentified and is not in custody.
