GEORGIA — Savannah police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Wednesday evening at the intersection of Abercorn Street and East Congress Street.
According to the Savannah Police Department, officers were called to the area around 5 p.m. after reports of a confrontation involving two unhoused men. During the altercation, one of the men allegedly stabbed the other with a knife.
Police said the injured man fled the scene and ran into a nearby business to seek help. His condition was not immediately released.
Authorities are actively searching for the suspect involved in the stabbing. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Savannah Police Department as the investigation continues.
