TENNESSEE — Police are searching for a missing man in Clarksville after he fled into a wooded area following a car crash, according to authorities.
The Clarksville Police Department said 34-year-old Aaron Tidwell was involved in a minor crash around 5 p.m. on March 23. After the crash, Tidwell reportedly ran into nearby woods and has not been seen since.
Officials said Tidwell’s family is concerned for his safety, noting he had made troubling statements prior to his disappearance and has struggled with mental health issues.
Tidwell is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, with brown hair and a reddish beard. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants, a gray T-shirt, and white tennis shoes.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call 911.
The search remains ongoing.
