Police searching for person believed to be in danger in Florida

FLORIDA — St. Petersburg police are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman who went missing Monday morning and may be in danger.

According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, officers received reports of an altercation around 7:15 a.m. in the parking lot of the Crescent Lane Apartments at 2000 Gandy Boulevard.

Witnesses said a man forced 26-year-old Jayanna Clark into her own vehicle before driving away.

The suspect fled in a dark gray Nissan Altima, striking two parked cars as he left. The vehicle was last seen heading north on U.S. 19. Investigators believe the man may be a former boyfriend and say they are concerned for Clark’s safety.

Anyone with information on Clark’s whereabouts or the vehicle is urged to contact the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7780 or text “SPPD” and a tip to TIP411.
