Police searching for motorcyclist who fled traffic stop in Virginia

VIRGINIA — The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Police are searching for a suspect who fled from a traffic stop on Route 29 Saturday.

According to the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, the pursuit began when a state trooper attempted to pull over a motorcyclist for a traffic violation.

The rider refused to stop and attempted to flee north on Route 29. The pursuit was later called off due to safety concerns.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance images of the suspect taken at a convenience store prior to the incident. The suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie and pants and riding a black and red sports bike.
