VIRGINIA — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 19-year-old woman who has not been heard from since late March.
According to deputies, Charles Padgett reported on Friday, April 3, that his sister, Marissa Raquel Dickerson, left her residence at 63 Coopers Court in Martinsville on Tuesday, March 31, and has not had any contact with family or authorities since that time.
Investigators say Dickerson had been communicating through Facebook with a woman identified only as “Amber.” Deputies said Dickerson told her brother she planned to meet Amber on March 31 to spend time together. Since that date, there has been no further communication from Dickerson, and her Facebook account has since been made private.
Authorities say there is limited information available about the woman known as “Amber,” including her full identity or whether she may have been driving a vehicle.
Dickerson is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She also has a tattoo on her left hand bearing the name “Ray,” according to deputies.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about Dickerson’s whereabouts to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (276) 638-8751 or Crime Stoppers at 63-CRIME (632-7463).
Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $2,500 for information related to criminal activity, with reward amounts determined by the nature of the case and the value of the information provided.
