SOUTH CAROLINA — Authorities in Anderson County are searching for a missing man who is believed to be in danger after reportedly making threats of self-harm.
According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, 39-year-old Joshua Younger was last seen Tuesday on Breazeale Street in Belton. Deputies said he was wearing a black hoodie at the time and may be barefoot.
Younger is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 280 pounds.
Investigators say the situation is concerning after Younger allegedly left a message for his ex-wife indicating he intended to harm himself.
Deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating him. Anyone with information about Younger’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office at 864-260-4400 and reference case number 2026-03686.
Officials stress that the situation is urgent and encourage anyone who may have seen Younger to come forward.
