OHIO — Authorities are searching for a missing Shaker Heights woman whose car was found abandoned on an I-90 exit ramp Wednesday morning.
Police said 31-year-old Madalyn Marshall’s vehicle was discovered on the W. 44th Street exit ramp from I-90 eastbound with the driver’s door open and keys still in the ignition.
Marshall, who gave birth just a week ago, was reported missing Tuesday by her husband, Colin Marshall, after she failed to return home from picking up food.
Officers from Shaker Heights, Cleveland, Metro Parks, the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office, and the FBI searched the area for several hours but did not locate her.
Shaker Heights police confirmed the newborn is safe and not in harm’s way.
“Our entire Shaker Heights Community is deeply concerned for Madalyn’s well-being and are doing everything we can to locate her,” said Chief of Police Wayne D. Hudson. “Our priority is ensuring her safe return to her family.”
Police Commander John Cole said the search has been temporarily suspended while investigators continue interviewing family and friends.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Shaker Heights police.
