Police searching for missing person in Ohio

OHIO — The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating 16-year-old Makenzie Rayne Gacek, who was reported missing on April 26, 2025.

Makenzie was last seen in Swanton, Ohio, wearing a black shirt and black shorts.

She is described as a white female, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 143 pounds.

She has black hair and hazel eyes.

Authorities have not released details regarding the circumstances of her disappearance but are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone with knowledge of Makenzie’s whereabouts or with additional information related to the case is asked to contact the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office at (419) 213-4975.
