NEW YORK — The Nassau County Police Department’s Missing Persons Squad is investigating the disappearance of a 16-year-old boy who went missing last week.
Kimani Hinds-Powery was last seen on Friday, May 16, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m. after leaving his residence in Hempstead on foot.
His disappearance was reported to police on Thursday, May 22 at 11:08 p.m.
Hinds-Powery is described as a Black male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 165 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
He has both ears pierced and was last seen wearing a white shirt, black hat, and black sandals. Police believe he may have been heading toward Terrace Avenue in Hempstead.
Detectives are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the Missing Persons Squad at (516) 573-7347 or call 911. All calls will be kept confidential.
