Police searching for missing person in Alabama

ALABAMA — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a 68-year-old woman who has been missing since mid-June.

Susan Dawn Towry was last seen on June 15 in the 100 block of Swancott Road in the Triana community.

Authorities said she was spotted in the parking lot of a local restaurant, possibly involved in a verbal altercation with a man believed to be her ex-boyfriend.

Towry is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 108 pounds, with brown hair.

Investigators noted there have been multiple reports suggesting she may have been showing signs of an altered mental state at the time of her disappearance.

Anyone with information on Towry’s whereabouts or who may have seen anything suspicious in the area is urged to contact Detective Adam Harmon at (256) 533-8844 or via email at aharmon@madisoncountyal.gov.
