FLORIDA — Authorities are searching for a 17-year-old girl who was reported missing early Tuesday morning and may be in the Orlando area, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Leticia Garcia was last seen at about 1:22 a.m. on Feb. 17 leaving her home in the Clermont area, deputies said.
Investigators said Garcia willingly got into a black Toyota Camry with Florida license plate 36FCBC. The vehicle was seen making several U-turns on State Road 50 before heading east toward Orlando.
Detectives believe Garcia may be trying to reach a friend named Desi who lives in the Orlando area, but her exact destination is unknown.
Garcia is described as a Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds. When she was last seen, she was wearing a black hoodie and black sweatpants.
