INDIANA — An Indianapolis family is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 16-year-old who was last seen on the city’s west side.

Kylin Hammons was last seen around 6 p.m. Wednesday leaving his home near West 10th Street and Interstate 465, not far from Ben Davis High School.

According to family members, Kylin is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and a mustache, and is often seen wearing sweatshirts and sweatpants.

His family said his disappearance was unexpected and that there were no signs anything was wrong before he left. They also said he took several personal belongings with him, including his Xbox, phone, charger and a house key.

Family members believe Kylin may have connections in Columbus, Anderson and Muncie. They added that he may be dealing with PTSD and depression, raising concerns for his safety.

Relatives have been distributing flyers throughout the area as they continue searching for him and urging him to return home safely.

Anyone with information about Kylin’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

The case remains under investigation.
