VIRGINIA — Danville Police are searching for an inmate who escaped from the Danville Adult Detention Center earlier this week, and Crime Stoppers is offering a $500 reward for information leading to his capture.
Authorities said 44-year-old Brett Parrish walked away from a worksite at H.B. Moorefield Park around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday. He was last seen traveling westbound on Riverside Drive.
Parrish is described as a white male, approximately 5′8″ tall and 150 pounds, wearing blue jeans and a yellow t-shirt at the time of his escape.
He was serving time for a probation violation with an underlying burglary charge. K9 units and aerial assets are being used in the search.
