
SOUTH CAROLINA — Authorities are searching for an inmate who escaped from a detention facility in Hampton County, according to officials.
The Hampton County Sheriff’s Office said the inmate escaped from the Hampton County Detention Center.
Officials identified the inmate as 22-year-old Juwann Eady.
According to public records, Eady’s most recent arrest involved allegedly pointing a gun at someone. Authorities said he also has a history of burglary and grand theft.
Eady is described as a Black male, approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing about 174 pounds.
Law enforcement agencies are actively working to locate and apprehend him.
Officials have not released details about how the escape occurred.
The sheriff’s office is urging the public not to approach Eady, who is considered dangerous.
