
ALABAMA — Authorities are searching for an inmate who left his assigned work site Tuesday evening in Huntsville, the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) reported.
The escaped inmate, 66-year-old Phillip Russell Deason, was wearing blue jeans, a blue and white shirt, and a ball cap at the time. ADOC described Deason as a white male, 5’9” tall, weighing 180 pounds, with blue eyes and red/auburn hair.
Deason was serving a minimum community custody sentence for theft of property I at the North Alabama CBF/CWC. His sentence dates back to Dec. 13, 1999.
Anyone with information on Deason’s whereabouts is urged to contact local law enforcement, the facility he escaped from, or the Alabama Department of Corrections at 1-800-831-8825.
