Police release name of motorcyclist killed in Ohio crash

OHIO — Authorities have released more details about a fatal accident that occurred Tuesday evening in the Wheelersburg area of Scioto County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that the crash, which took place just before 6:30 p.m. on state Route 522 near mile post 6, claimed the life of Clinton Barnard, 33, of Ironton.

According to investigators, Barnard lost control of his motorcycle, causing him to veer left of center and collide with a southeast-bound truck. Barnard was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
