OHIO — A police pursuit in Wood County ended early Sunday morning with a wrong-way crash on Dixie Highway, authorities said.
Police reported that the chase began in Bowling Green when officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle. The driver refused to pull over and fled, traveling north toward Perrysburg.
The pursuit came to an end around 1:30 a.m. when the suspect vehicle drove the wrong way on Dixie Highway near Interstate 475 and crashed into an oncoming vehicle. Authorities said no injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
Dixie Highway was shut down for more than an hour while crews worked to clear the scene and remove the damaged vehicles.
Police said two women who were inside the stolen vehicle were taken into custody following the crash. No additional details about potential charges have been released.
