
VIRGINIA — Virginia State Police, in coordination with federal and local law enforcement agencies, recovered firearms, large quantities of narcotics, and explosive devices during operations conducted between June 12 and June 18.
According to a report released by the department, officers seized three firearms valued at approximately $1,500 and recovered 67.3 pounds of narcotics with an estimated street value of $339,824.
The confiscated drugs included 63.9 pounds of marijuana, 4.2 ounces of cocaine, 4 ounces of ketamine, 3.2 ounces of MDMA, 1.4 pounds of methamphetamine, 1.3 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, and 0.5 ounces of fentanyl.
Authorities also seized $3,554 in cash during the investigations. Additionally, two explosive devices were recovered, and police initiated a new homicide investigation.
The department also reported receiving 18 new human trafficking tips during the same period, bringing the total to 1,030.
So far, 215 cases have been investigated or are ongoing, and 66 victims have been identified and offered support services.
Three more tips related to illegal gaming activity were also submitted, with a total of 1,564 gaming-related tips received to date. Investigations into these matters are ongoing.
