GEORGIA — Police in DeKalb County are investigating two separate overnight incidents that occurred about an hour apart, authorities said.
According to the DeKalb County Police Department, the first call came from Meadow-Glenn Village Lane near Pleasantdale Road. Officers responding to the scene found a vehicle riddled with bullet holes, along with multiple shell casings in the area.
Emergency personnel were later observed removing a body from inside the vehicle. Investigators have not released details about what led up to the shooting. Officials confirmed that the medical examiner responded to the scene.
Roughly an hour later, deputies were called to a small shopping center along Covington Highway. Officers appeared to be focused on the parking lot at that location, though authorities have not said what prompted the response.
Police have not indicated whether the two incidents are related. Investigators said details remain limited as both cases continue to be investigated.
