OHIO — Police are investigating the death of a man found in a ditch Sunday afternoon as suspicious.
The body was discovered around 3 p.m. on Nelson Avenue. Lt. Mohammad Awad of the Detective Bureau said investigators are treating the case as a potential homicide while awaiting further information from the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office.
This incident marks the ninth homicide in Youngstown so far this year.
22 homicides were recorded in the city last year.
