Police investigating Saturday morning shooting in Ohio

OHIO — Police are investigating a reported shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in a Dayton neighborhood.

Authorities were dispatched just before 1 a.m. to the 400 block of 5 Oaks Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting.

According to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, officers are also conducting an investigation in the 100 block of Rockwood Avenue in connection to the incident.

It is unclear at this time whether a victim has been located, but medics were called to the scene, a police sergeant confirmed.

No further details have been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
