OHIO — Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery involving two masked men at a convenience store late Monday night.
Officers responded around 11:30 p.m. to the Quick Stop on Mahoning Avenue NW after the store’s silent alarm was triggered.
According to a police report, the store clerk said one of the suspects pointed a gun at him, prompting the clerk to hit the panic button and take cover behind the counter.
The suspects fled the scene without taking anything.
Surveillance footage showed the first suspect entering the store wearing a ski mask, followed shortly by the second, who was also masked and armed.
The second suspect was dropped off by a vehicle before entering the store.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are reviewing the video to identify the suspects.
