
OHIO — Police are investigating after a vehicle crashed into a west Toledo business early Wednesday morning, with the driver allegedly fleeing the scene.
According to Toledo police, officers were called to the 200 block of West Alexis Road around 3:11 a.m. on reports that a vehicle had struck a building. When officers arrived, they found an unoccupied vehicle in the front parking lot and a moderate-sized hole in the building’s north-facing wall.
Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling westbound on Alexis Road when the driver lost control, struck a small construction area and then slid into the building.
A city building inspector was called to the scene to assess potential structural damage.
