
KENTUCKY — The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a wanted man who fled on foot during a traffic stop Sunday evening.
According to deputies, 31-year-old Jeremy Roberts was stopped around 7 p.m. on March 1 after officers noticed the vehicle he was driving did not have a license plate. During the stop, Roberts reportedly ran from deputies toward Cherry Avenue.
After Roberts fled, deputies searched the vehicle and said they discovered drugs, multiple firearms, a stolen AR-15 rifle and a reported stolen suppressor.
Roberts is wanted on several charges, including evading police on foot, drug trafficking, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a controlled substance and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
The sheriff’s office described Roberts as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown shirt, khaki shorts and black shoes.
