FLORIDA — A narcotics operation in West Park was dismantled Friday night after Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies served a search warrant and seized drugs, firearms, and cash, authorities confirmed Tuesday.
The search took place at a home on the 5200 block of Southwest 22nd Street, where deputies had been investigating complaints of drug sales and violent activity for weeks. Inside the home, deputies recovered more than 1,000 grams of cannabis, $5,200 in cash, and seven firearms. Four vehicles were also impounded.
Three men were arrested in connection with the bust: Bruce Ceaser, 37, of West Park; Terrick Murray, 47, of West Park; and Santos Diaz, 25, of Miami.
All three face charges of possession with intent to distribute cannabis. Ceaser also faces obstructing law enforcement, and Diaz faces an additional count of possession of drug equipment.
Investigators said the operation began on July 4 after deputies responded to reports of gunfire at the home, where they encountered a large, hostile crowd. Authorities confirmed that ongoing criminal activity at the property had created a “climate of fear” in the surrounding neighborhood.
The operation was led by the West Park District Crime Suppression Team with support from BSO’s Gang Investigations Unit, SWAT, K-9, Aviation, Drone Unit, V.I.P.E.R. team, and other specialized units.
