FLORIDA — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men accused of robbing a gas station early Friday morning.
The robbery occurred around 2 a.m. on Nov. 14 at the Quality Petroleum station at 704 Scenic Highway North. According to the Lake Wales Police Department, two masked men entered the store while only one employee was on duty.
One suspect approached the counter with two bottles of Gatorade, appearing to be a customer, while the second suspect went behind the counter.
Police said the second man displayed a black handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. Both suspects then fled on foot, heading southeast.
The first suspect was described as wearing gray pants, a black sweatshirt, gloves, sunglasses, dark shoes, and a multicolored mask. The second suspect, who was armed, was wearing a black sweatshirt and pants, gloves, sunglasses, and a black mask.
