Police attempting to identify tobacco shop breaking and entering suspect in Virginia

VIRGINIA — Police are searching for a suspect following a breaking and entering at a Carytown Tobacco location early Sunday morning.

According to the Chesterfield County Police Department, officers were dispatched to the business at 10459 Midlothian Turnpike at approximately 5:03 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 28, after an alarm was activated. When officers arrived, they found a broken window at the front of the store.

Police said surveillance video shows a suspect entering the business through the broken window and taking several products before fleeing the scene. The suspect did not remain at the location when officers arrived.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned Black man wearing a black face covering, two dark blue heavy hooded jackets, ripped acid-washed jeans, and black-and-white tennis shoes.
