GEORGIA — A patrol vehicle belonging to the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office was stolen Tuesday morning, leading to a pursuit that ended with two deputies injured and one person taken into custody.
According to officials, the patrol car was stolen in the Charleston Highway area, prompting a high-speed pursuit by law enforcement. The chase ended near the intersection of Palmetto Avenue and Cemetery Road, where authorities said one individual was apprehended.
Two deputies were injured during the incident and were transported to a medical facility. Officials said their conditions are being monitored, but no additional details about their injuries were immediately released.
