OHIO — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Cleveland has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Erie County, Pennsylvania, and the northern portion of Ashtabula County, Ohio, particularly areas north of Interstate 90.
The watch will be in effect from 4 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Friday.
The affected areas could see snowfall totals exceeding six inches, particularly where snow squalls persist from Wednesday night into Thursday.
In addition to heavy snow, wind gusts of up to 40 mph are expected, creating reduced visibility due to blowing snow.
Residents are advised to prepare for hazardous travel conditions and monitor weather updates as the storm develops.
