
PENNSYLVANIA — A crash involving entrapment and heavy fire Saturday night is causing major traffic disruptions on Interstate 81 in Cumberland County.
A spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said the crash occurred around 7:25 p.m. on Interstate 81 northbound near mile marker 59, underneath the flyover ramp to Route 581.
As a result of the crash, the ramp from Route 581 west to I-81 south has been closed. PennDOT officials said all traffic in the area is being directed past the scene to continue on I-81 northbound.
It was not immediately clear how many vehicles were involved in the crash or whether there were any injuries. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and the incident remains under investigation.
