
OHIO — A crash on Interstate 75 in Wood County caused major traffic slowdowns in both directions Wednesday morning.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, the left lane of northbound I-75 at U.S. 20/23 was blocked due to the crash. On the southbound side, the two left lanes beyond U.S. 20/23 were also blocked.
Traffic maps showed delays stretching as far north as Avenue Road in the southbound lanes and extending south to Fremont Pike. Northbound traffic was backed up to the I-475 interchange, nearly reaching Maumee.
As of 8 a.m., the cause of the crash remained under investigation. Authorities had not released information on how many vehicles were involved or whether anyone was injured.
The Ohio Department of Transportation and local emergency crews continued working at the scene. Motorists were advised to expectdelays and consider alternate routes while the crash was cleared.
