OHIO — Icy road conditions caused traffic disruptions on Interstate 75 in Dayton on Tuesday.
The Dayton Police Department said on social media that I-75 northbound at U.S. Route 35 was closed so crews could salt and treat the roadway.
In an update, police said they were also working to shut down I-75 southbound near Second Street to allow crews to treat the southbound lanes.
“Please use alternate routes while officers and crews work to respond in this area,” police wrote.
Authorities said at least one crash was reported in the area, leading to traffic backups. Information on possible injuries was not immediately available.
