KENTUCKY — Northbound lanes on Interstate 75 in Northern Kentucky will be restricted for several hours Thursday following a crash involving a tractor-trailer that damaged part of a bridge.
The crash occurred on I-75 beneath the Interstate 275 overpass near Erlanger. Authorities said the accident caused damage to the bridge structure, leading officials to reduce northbound traffic lanes while the situation is assessed and cleared.
Erlanger police are urging drivers traveling through the area to plan ahead and use alternate routes if possible, as the lane restrictions are expected to cause delays.
Officials have not released details about what caused the crash, and it was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured. The extent of the damage to the bridge also remains unknown.
Traffic officials said the lane reductions are expected to remain in place for several hours while crews investigate the crash and evaluate the condition of the bridge.
